Moments of Being is a multidisciplinary exhibition featuring 12 Syrian artists working across various media, including sculpture, film, photography, installation, and performance art. The exhibition offers an intimate exploration of identity, memory, and resilience through the lens of everyday objects, routines, and experiences. By focusing on the seemingly mundane aspects of life, the exhibition highlights how these elements are imbued with deeper meanings and connections that transcend geographical boundaries.
Set against the backdrop of war, displacement, and social upheavals, the exhibition reflects on how Syrian artists continue to reclaim cultural and national identities through their work. Moments of Being presents these artists not as static products of their circumstances but as creative individuals capable of transcending limitations and actively shaping their futures. The works in this exhibition serve as vessels for unmediated human experiences, revealing moments of authenticity hidden within the everyday and offering a hopeful vision beyond the suffering.
